Specialized Programs
Everybody's cancer experience is different. You may have particular concerns and needs depending on your individual situation. CancerCare understands that these concerns are important and has developed special programs to help.
- CancerCare for Kids®
- Cancer affects the entire family. CancerCare for Kids® is a special program that helps children who are dealing with the diagnosis of a parent or loved one, as well as children with cancer.
- CancerCare En Español
- CancerCare has Spanish-speaking oncology social workers who provide our full range of services, including counseling, support groups, education, practical help and financial assistance.
- Young Adults
- Cancer can be different for people between the ages of 20 and 40. Whether you want support from your peers, or are wondering how this will affect the rest of your life, CancerCare can help.
- Advanced Cancer
- Most people who have survived cancer and completed their treatment will say that they live with the underlying fear that their cancer will return. Although some people with advanced cancer are living longer and with better quality of life, it still remains a serious concern and at times a turning point in the course of your cancer treatment and care.
- Post-Treatment Survivors
- Your treatment is over, but that doesn't mean life goes back to normal. Support, resources, and education are available on topics important to cancer survivors.
- Caregivers
- Caregivers are a crucial part of the health care team. Find out how you can better care for your loved one and yourself.
- End of Life
- When the goal of treatment becomes comfort rather than cure, difficult questions and emotions can arise. Get professional support for dealing with these issues.
- Bereaved
- Your feelings of grief, while normal, are painful. But you don't have to go through it alone. CancerCare will be with you.
